Is there an opportunity to see examples of homework?

Accepted Answer

Examples of bug reports are in a separate project in the Mantis bug tracker. The students can also find examples of properly designed bug reports in their personal profile in the «Documents» section.

Examples of other homework are provided at each lesson section in the personal cabinet.

Question 2

I can't start a test/home assignment on my personal page. Why is it happening?

Accepted Answer

This happens because another test was started and not completed. You need to find this test (its button is now brighter than the others), open it and complete it. After that, other tests will become available for passing.

Question 3

Can I provide a link to my certificate on my resume?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can attach a link to your personal cabinet. The link to the public page and its settings can be found in the «My profile» section. On the public page you can display information about courses completed, points earned and certificates received. The certificate is available in English.

Question 4

Where do I fill in the contact form for my certificate?

Accepted Answer

A link to the certificate form will be sent in an email with the results of the course. You will be able to download the certificate in your personal cabinet.

What should I do if the details in my personal cabinet are incorrect?

Accepted Answer

Please contact the Training Center specialists for online support on the website or in your personal cabinet.

Question 6

Will access to personal cabinet and systems (Mantis, TestRail) be available after the course?

Accepted Answer

Students who have completed the course will have access to a personal cabinet for one month after the end of the course. Lecture materials and webinar videos are not available after the course. Access to work systems will be closed immediately after 6:00 pm (UTC +2:00 time zone) on the last day of the course. Access to the TestRail system will be closed the day after the deadline for homework #5.

Question 7

The login and password do not give access to the personal account. What shall I do?

Accepted Answer

Carefully check the data entered for errors (extra spaces, case, etc.).

If the situation does not change, use the password recovery function.

If you have additional questions, contact the Training Center's online support on the website or in your personal account.

Question 8

How and when do I get the access to the training programs?

Accepted Answer

Access credentials (login and password) to the personal cabinet will be sent in an email from the Training Center after accepting the application for training. Access parameters for the the Mantis system can be found in the personal cabinet on the page of the current group. Access parameters to the TestRail system will be sent by mail on the day of the corresponding lecture #5.

Are points awarded for tests on lectures in the «Software Testing: Basics and Practice» course?

Accepted Answer

No, they are intended for students' self-assessment and are not mandatory.

Question 10

If I am absent from any of the online lectures of the «Software Testing: Basics and Practice» course, will access to the homework assignments be open?

Accepted Answer

Homework assignments can be accessed in the personal account within the specified time frame, regardless of whether the student is present at the class or not.

Question 11

Can I send homework for review by email and don't attach it in the personal cabinet?

Accepted Answer

Homework should be sent only in the «Tests» section of your personal cabinet. The system notifies the Training Center specialists about the completed tasks and the need to provide feedback on their verification.

Where should I attach the checklist/test plan/test types/tasks in Jira and TestRail?

Accepted Answer

The checklist/test plan/types of testing/tasks in Jira and TestRail must be attached in the personal account in the «Tests» section through the homework test of the relevant lecture in the format corresponding to the conditions of the task.

Will links from the document be available in the Handouts section after the lecture in the «Software Testing: Basics and Practice» course?

Accepted Answer

Links are available in your personal account in the «Documents» section. Also, some of them are duplicated on the blog in materials for lectures.

Where can I find a clear description of tasks and requirements for homework?

Accepted Answer

A description of the tasks and requirements for homework can be found in the «Tests» section in your personal account. A more detailed explanation of the tasks is provided in the homework instructions, which can be found in the «Documents» section of your personal account.
