Q: Why are the tasks for creating a website and installing a web server selected as the facultative part of the course?

The facultative is not mandatory, but will be an interesting challenge for your development as a tester. Thus, you will be able to get additional points that will be taken into a certificate and your own experience.

Q: There was a different facultative task before. Is it different for each group?

In order to provide more opportunities for students, we really optimize the course for the basic needs of testers. However, you can always find up-to-date information about the facultative task in our blog article and FAQ section.

Q: What is the deadline for completing the facultative tasks?

It is necessary to start doing the facultative task after lecture 7. It must be completed until 6 pm EET of the last day of the «Software Testing: Basics and Practice» course.

Q: Will these tasks be checked for design errors?

Please note that this task is optional, so hints, help and feedback are not provided. The screenshots of the facultative task have the same design requirements as screenshots of other course tasks.

Q: What is a facultative task? Is the task required to complete?

The facultative is an optional task of the «Software Testing: Basics and Practice» course and is not mandatory. Tips, help and feedback on it are not provided. Each item can be rated at a maximum of 5 points. Thus, the total number of additional points can be 10. More details in the article.
