Conditions for getting the certificate

The tasks on the English courses are aimed at comprehensive checks of the knowledge acquired by the attendees. All scores are individual and they depend on the progress and quality of the tasks completion. At the end of the courses, the overall average percentage of the tasks completion is calculated.

The participant gets a certificate** after completing the course if two conditions are met:

  • overall educational progress is not less than 70%;
  • progress on the mandatory exam is not less than 70%.

Types of the tasks that you will find in the courses:

  • speaking;
  • writing;
  • interactive  grammar and vocabulary tasks;
  • progress tests;
  • case study;
  • group and pair work.

Interactive tasks (multiple choice, matching and so on) are checked automatically by the program. Upon completion of the tasks, a percentage corresponding to the number of correct given answers is assigned. The maximum score that you can get is 100 %.

By doing the writing ( e.g. writing a composition or answering a question in the written form) and speaking tasks (during the lesson or sending a voice message)  the teacher checks the following:

  • vocabulary;
  • word order and sentence structure (grammar);
  • completeness of the answer (correspondence to the task);
  • coherence, sequence.

One correctly completed task equals 100%.  100% is divided into 4 assessment criteria, each of which equals a maximum of 25 %.

Each task which is assessed by the teacher has the following 4 criteria:

Criteria The number of mistakes/ Achievement percentage Percentage given(max. 25%)
