Under fire but free and independent!
There were 186 air sirens in Ukraine on 24-th of August, which was the anniversary of our country’s Independence Day. We used to go outside to celebrate this day in the past and in spite of the sirens, we did it this year too. Every Ukrainian celebrated it differently, it seems more mature, more responsible and louder this year. As we fight for our freedom.
QATestLab Training Center keeps informing you about the war in Ukraine, so here is a short two week digest.
Friends stand still. On 24-th of August Kyiv hosted some of the world leaders that have been supporting Ukraine, such as the president of Poland Andrzej Duda and the Premier Minister of England – Boris Johnson. Both guests have shown their friendly support of Ukraine, as well as congratulation of the Ukrainian nation. Bloomberg reports that Johnson announced $64 million in fresh equipment Wednesday and promised «thousands of drones and anti-tank munitions» for Ukrainian forces. Duda and Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy met to discuss military backing for Ukraine and the political support Poland could offer to convince other countries to keep helping Kyiv, Duda’s office chief told reporters earlier on Tuesday.
The bitter part of friendship is when an enemy pretends to be a friend. A self-proclaimed president of Belarus – Alexander Lukashenko congratulates the citizens of Ukraine on Independence day. It all seems surreal for Ukrainians knowing that Belarus was used as a launching platform for airstrikes of Ukraine earlier that day. However the national mood that day was rather strong and proud as if the whole world embraced Ukraine as we, citizens of Ukraine, believe was earned fair.
However there is always a bitter spoon. On that day there were other terrors. Russian attacked the Chaplyne town rail station in the Dnipro region. Five of the victims of the attack in the eastern town of Chaplyne burnt to death in a vehicle, officials said. Two boys aged six and 11 were also killed. The head of the board of «Ukrzaliznytsia», Oleksandr Kamyshin, clarified that three railway workers were among the 25 victims of the attack on the station. And among the 31 wounded are four railway lawyers.
The whole world sees that there is almost nothing impossible for Ukrainians, sadly the cost of it is war. Another almost impossible thing done by our volunteers is the rent of the real satellite. As the story goes, it was rented by the Serhii Prutyla foundation after they tried to gather money for the crowd funded Bayraktar. However, the official representatives of the company have decided to provide Ukraine with three bayraktars that were absolutely free of charge. Later on the Prytula foundation announced that they will use the money collected for a good purpose. IT seems unreal but the foundation managed to gain access to the satellite that will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to locate the occupant on the territory of Ukraine for more than one year.
On the 24-th of August, the self-proclaimed government of DNR with their head – Pushylin- was supposed to hold a trial on the soldiers of the Azov regiment that had been earlier captured in Olenivka. The latest news from Mariupol states that the building of philharmonic, where the trial was supposed to be held was mined by the provocateurs from the occupants side. Such news ache each Ukrainian, not only mothers, sisters, brothers and significant ones of the captured, but the whole nation awaits for heroes to come home because there is always hope.
Occupants continue terrorizing the Zaporizhiya Nuclear Power Plant. There is growing concern over fighting near the complex, which is the largest nuclear plant in Europe. Russian tried to disconnect Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant from grid, which could lead to the catastrophic failure of cooling systems, says head of Ukraine’s atomic energy company. On Thursday 25-th of August there were blackouts, caused by occupants. Energoatom said fires at a nearby thermal power plant caused the nuclear plant’s last remaining electricity power line to disconnect twice. The plant’s three other lines had been «lost earlier during the conflict» it added. «If the diesel generators hadn’t turned on, if the automation and our staff of the plant had not reacted after the blackout, then we would already be forced to overcome the consequences of the radiation accident» – President Zelensky warned on Thursday night. Bloomberg stated that the IAEA representatives are to visit Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant on 5-th of September.
Ukrainians fight back defending everything they have in all fronts whether it is military battlefront, media or art and everyone of us is grateful to those who continue spreading the truth about war, donating or hosting our people abroad. This will never be forgotten and those kind people will be greeted gracefully on Ukrainian lands after the victory. You can give your token of support by simply sharing the post or donating to the official accounts too. Each act of support makes us one step closer to the peace that the whole world ones.
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to its heroes!
